Statement of the United States Embassy on the MINUSCA Helicopter Crash

BANGUI – The U.S. Embassy in the Central African Republic (CAR) was deeply saddened to learn about the crash of a MINUSCA helicopter today, Friday, September 27, 2019, near Bouar, that killed three Senegalese U.N. peacekeepers and critically wounded one Senegalese U.N. peacekeeper. We offer our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a quick and full recovery to the injured. The U.S. Embassy reaffirms its support for MINUSCA and for the brave peacekeeping forces who risk their lives to ensure peace in CAR.
